About Us
The Parallel Architectures/Algorithms/Applications Research Group gathers researchers and Ph.D. students from the Department of Software Engineering at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague. Our research activities and topics of interest are:
- multi-core CPUs and NUMA servers
- many-core GPUs and GPGPU computing
- emerging parallel architectures (Intel MIC, Parallela/Epiphany)
- distributed computing on tightly coupled clusters
- parallel data processing and concurrency in database systems
- languages (and compilers) for parallel processing
Latest Activities
We have presented a demo of parallel processing of face similarity model that used Microsoft Kinect device to track people.
